The entrance to our workshop is on Freehold Terrace, off Hollingdean Road. The door is set into a metal shutter: press the buzzer labelled “Build Brighton” to get in.

Getting Here

By Car

There is usually parking available on Freehold Terrace and Pope’s Folly. These are along single yellow lines so you’ll only be able to park on them when visiting after 6pm Monday-Saturday or anytime on Sundays.

There are also parking spaces on Hollingdean Road, as well as a couple of parking spaces by the metal staircase at the front of the Rodhus building. These spaces are shared between the residents of the building so please be considerate when parking and be aware that you will need to be available to move your car if you block anyone in.

By Bus

The following services all stop near the Sainsbury’s and the BP garage on Lewes Road gyratory:

  • 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 29B, 29X, 37, 37B, 38, 38A, 49, 49A, 49E, 74, 78, 81A, 81C, 91, N25, N97

The nearest stops are SainsburysLewes Road Bus Garage and Melbourne Street.

Basically, just look out for the big BP petrol station and get off when you see it!

By Train

  • Moulsecoomb Station (0.9 miles). Take the No 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 29B, 29X, 49, 49A, 49E, 74, 78 or N25 bus from stop Brighton University on the other side of the main road. Get off at stop Lewes Road Bus Garage
  • Brighton Station (1.3 miles). Go out of the station and walk down Trafalgar Street to York Place. Take the No 24, 49 or 49A bus from stop St Peters Church (Stop V) or No 49E from stop St Peters Church (Stop L), or walk round to the other side of the church and take the No 25, 28, 29, 29B, 29X or N25 bus from stop St Peters Church (Stop U). Get off at stop Sainsburys.

By Bike

There’s currently plenty of room to store bikes inside the building. You can either leave them in the entrance or bring them up the steps and into the workshop.
